How to pair DataMan 8700 Reader with the Base Station.
Answer
The pairing way of DataMan 8700BT and Base station is simple. Place the reader to the base station and press the confirmation button displayed on the OLED. Following is the description in Reference Manual. Even if the base station has already been paired with the other DataMan 8700BT reader, above procedure makes the base station new pairing.
Pairing Wireless Readers to Base Station Through Bluetooth
- Place the Bluetooth reader in the Base Station.
- A dialog appears on the OLED display of the reader asking if you want to pair the reader with the Base Station.

Confirm assignment by using the buttons under the OLED display.
Note: A new reader and a new Base Station pair automatically.
- Lift your reader up from the Base Station and start reading codes.
