Getting Started with In-Sight® 3D Spreadsheet

Cognex In-Sight 3D Spreadsheet is a software interface for your In-Sight vision system. The In-Sight 3D Spreadsheet allows you to build simple to complex vision applications, or jobs, through a cell-based interface. You can insert function tools into cells, edit function properties, and tie functions together to create jobs. The results and controls for function tools can be tied into the Cognex WebHMI for runtime use. In-Sight 3D Spreadsheet allows you to perform 3D operations on point cloud acquisitions taken by 3D vision systems. The In-Sight 3D Spreadsheet also generates 2D projection images from point cloud acquisitions with 3D vision systems such as the In-Sight L38, enabling the use of 3D tools such as height measurement or plane finding.

The In-Sight 3D Spreadsheet provides the following functionalities:

• Configure complex jobs through a spreadsheet interface.

• Adjust device settings, such as the image source and the device image acquisition settings.

• Add tools to the job such as pattern, edge finding, measurement, and ViDi EL tools.

• Edit, delete, rearrange or copy and paste the tools in your job.

• Set up your FTP server connection and image write settings.

• Configure device input/output signals.
• Configure operator HMI.
