Load a Custom View at Startup

You can customize In-Sight Explorer to automatically load a job file with a Custom View and log on a specific user when the application is launched. To automatically load a Custom View at start up, complete the following steps:

Note: The Custom View of the spreadsheet is always displayed when a user with a Protected or Locked access level logs on to the sensor.

Specify a job file to load.
1. Create a job file with a Custom View and save the job file.
2. From the Sensor menu, select Startup to open the Startup dialog.
3. From the Job drop-down menu, select the job file that should automatically load at start up.
4. Click OK to close the Startup dialog.
Set up a user that defaults to the Custom View.
1. From the Sensor menu, select User List to open the User List dialog.
2. Highlight a user from the list.
3. Click Edit to open the User dialog.
4. Enable the Show Custom View at Logon checkbox.
5. Click OK to close the User dialog. Click OK again to close the User List dialog.
Set up your default logon user.

Note: The default logon user should be the same user specified in the User List dialog above.
1. From the System menu, open the Options dialog.
2. Highlight Startup to display the Startup panel.
3. Enter the User Name that should automatically log on when In-Sight Explorer is launched.
4. Enter the Password for the Startup User Name. If no password is assigned for the user, leave the Password field blank.
