Communication
The Communication step is used to define inspection results for open data access and exchange (OPC), to configure an EasyView for the VisionView® Operator Interface Panel, exporting images via FTP or to the SD Card, and to define the network and serial communication settings of In-Sight vision systems, enabling them to communicate data to and from other devices, such as a robot or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)/Motion Controller (MC).
- The In-Sight sensor must be Offline to enable the Communication step.
- The communication protocols of your job may be configured and saved using an Emulator, and then loaded on an In-Sight vision system for run-time deployment. However, the ProfiNET and CC-Link protocols cannot be simulated on the Emulator, even though they can be selected. These protocols require that the job's communication protocols be developed and saved on an In-Sight vision system connected to the ProfiNET or CC-Link network.
Supported Protocols
Up to two protocols can be added to a job. When adding two protocols, you can add one "primary" protocol and one "secondary" protocol. For example, after adding the SLMP Scanner protocol (primary), you click the Add Device button again and add the TCP/IP protocol (secondary).
