Inputs/Outputs

The Inputs/Outputs step is used to define the settings of the discrete input and output lines of supported In-Sight vision systems and I/O modules. You can customize the name of the line, set the signal type, select the edge transition and tool results of the signal, and force inputs or outputs to test your application.

This Application Step is disabled when using an Emulator. For more information, see Changing the Local Emulator Mode
Before configuring input or output lines, note if your output device is PNP (current sourcing) or NPN (current sinking), and make sure the device is connected correctly to the In-Sight sensor or I/O module. Please consult the applicable In-Sight sensor or I/O module installation manual for more information.
