I/O Module Configuration
- Connect to a supported vision system from In-Sight Explorer.
- Open the I/O Module Configuration dialog.
- Select CIO-1400, CIO-1450 or CIO-1460 from the Select I/O Module drop-down list.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Connect to a supported vision system from In-Sight Explorer.
- Open the I/O Module Configuration dialog.
- Select CIO-MICRO or CIO-MICRO-CC from the Select I/O Module drop-down list.
-
Select the appropriate I/O module from the Connect To drop-down list.
Note: If the I/O module's host name is not displayed in the list, select <Connect by IP Address> and manually enter the I/O module's IP address. -
In the Update Time field, specify the time interval required for input and output synchronization (1ms - 500ms; default = 20ms) between the In-Sight Micro vision system and the CIO-MICRO or CIO-MICRO-CC I/O module.
Note: If excess output signal latency is a problem, decrease the Update Time. However, decrease the Update Time as little as necessary for your application; as the Update Time is decreased, job execution time may be increased. - Optionally, click the Change Settings... button to configure the I/O module's network settings.
By default, the In-Sight CIO-MICRO and CIO-MICRO-CC I/O modules are configured dynamically by the DHCP server on startup. A new host name can be assigned, but all other fields in the dialog are disabled.
Note: If no DHCP server is available, the I/O module times out and binds to a link-local IP address.- A static IP address can be used for the CIO-MICRO and CIO-MICRO-CC by un-checking the Use DHCP Server checkbox and setting the appropriate network settings in the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS Server, and Domain Name fields.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
Before the CIO-WENET I/O module can be configured in In-Sight Explorer, you will first need to assign an IP address to the module. Once the IP address is assigned to the module, it can be configured in In-Sight Explorer:
- Connect to a supported vision system from In-Sight Explorer.
- Open the I/O Module Configuration dialog.
- Select CIO-WENET from the Select I/O Module drop-down list.
- In the IP Address field, specify the IP address that you previously assigned to the CIO-WENET.
-
In the Update Time field, specify the time interval required for input and output synchronization (1ms - 500ms; default = 20ms) between the In-Sight Micro vision system and the CIO-WENET I/O module.
Note:- If excess output signal latency is a problem, decrease the Update Time. However, decrease the Update Time as little as necessary for your application; as the Update Time is decreased, job execution time may be increased.
- For the CIO-WENET, the synchronization time is 3ms longer than the Update Time.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
