Inputs: Training a Model Pattern over an Input Line

To configure your In-Sight vision system to train a Model pattern over an input line, complete the following steps.

  1. In the Pattern/Patterns (1 - 10) Location tool, Pattern Presence/Absence tool or Patterns Counting tool, select an input line to use as a train signal from the Train Input drop-down list.

Note: When connected to an In-Sight vision system or In-Sight 2000-23M vision sensor, the Train Input drop-down list is included in the Settings tab.
  2. Go back to the Inputs/Outputs application step.
  3. Set the selected input line's Signal Type to Event Trigger.
  4. Set the Edge Type of the signal to Rising Edge, Falling Edge or Both Edges.
  5. Place the In-Sight vision system/sensor Online.

Note: The training of a Model pattern will use the most recent image acquired by the vision system/sensor. It is not necessary to re-trigger the vision system/sensor in order to train.
  6. The edge(s) of the selected Edge Type will trigger a training of the Model pattern.
