Presence/Absence Tools - Contrast

The Contrast Presence/Absence Tool determines whether or not a feature is present or absent, based upon the contrast value (the difference between the mean greyscale value above the threshold and the mean greyscale below the threshold) between features of the pixels in the region, and reports that value.

This tool returns the following results:

In-Sight Models Results
In-Sight 2000 Series 1XX Vision Sensors (110, 120, 130) Pass/Fail status only
In-Sight Vision Systems (All Models) and In-Sight 2000 Series 23X Vision Sensors (23M, 230) Standard Results (No Limitations)

The Contrast Presence/Absence Tool is useful in situations where the feature on a good part has a very distinct light and/or dark areas, in relation to that of a bad part. For example, verifying the presence of dark print on a white label.

Tip: For more information on how to select a feature, refer to Selecting a Feature.
