In-Sight 70xx - 74xx Series I/O Lines

Note:
  • The In-Sight 70xx - 74xx series vision system supports connecting the Breakout cable and the CIO-MICRO or CIO-MICRO-CC I/O module simultaneously.
  • IN 1, IN 2 and IN 3 are built-in inputs, direct from the vision system. Direct (built-in) inputs are only supported when the vision system is connected to the Breakout cable.
  • HSOUT 0, HSOUT 1, HSOUT 2 and HSOUT 3 are built-in high-speed outputs, direct from the vision system. High-speed outputs on In-Sight 70xx - 74xx series vision systems are only supported when the vision system is connected to the Breakout cable.
  • The vision system supports the Strobe signal type for the HSOUT 0 line.
  • If connecting an external strobe device to the In-Sight 70xx - 74xx series vision system's External Light cable, use the Light Settings dialog to configure the external light settings. For more information, see In-Sight 70xx - 74xx Series Light Settings.
  • There are two options for enabling serial communication for the In-Sight 70xx - 74xx series vision system: using the Breakout cable or using the CIO-MICRO or CIO-MICRO-CC I/O module. When connected to the Breakout cable (and there is no connection to an I/O module), the vision system allows one discrete input line and one discrete output line to be configured as Serial Receive and Serial Transmit, respectively.

CIO-MICRO/CIO-MICRO-CC

Note:
  • When the vision system is connected to the Breakout cable and an Ethernet connection to a CIO-MICRO I/O module has been established:
    • The I/O module's I/O port (DB15) and TRIGGER+, TRIGGER-, HSOUT 0, HSOUT 1 and HS COMMON terminals are not supported. Do not connect wire leads from remote devices to these terminals.
    • The I/O module's I/O port (DB15) is not supported. Do not connect anything to this port.
    • The RS-232 TRANSMIT and RS-232 RECEIVE pins on the Breakout cable are disabled. Use the I/O module's RS-232 OUT port (DB9) to connect to a serial device.
