Format Menu

The Format menu allows you to modify visible properties of the rows and columns that define the semitransparent spreadsheet overlay.

Note: The Format menu is available only when a Spreadsheet View is the active window.
  • Cells: Allows you to modify the decimal number format; text alignment; font type, style, size and color; line width of cell graphics; and cell color of a single cell or multiple cells through the Format Cells dialog. Cell locking settings and cell password protection may also be enabled. For more information, see Format Cells Dialog.
  • Rows: Adjusts properties of the spreadsheet rows.
    • Row Height: Increases or decreases the height of the selected spreadsheet rows.
    • Auto Fit: Resizes selected row(s) to accommodate the widest content contained within the selected cells.
    • Hide Rows: Makes the selected row(s) invisible on the spreadsheet.
    • Unhide Rows: Reveals any hidden rows between the selected rows. At least two rows must be selected in order to unhide rows, except when one or more rows at the top or bottom of the spreadsheet have been hidden. To unhide rows at the top or bottom of the spreadsheet, select the first or last non-hidden row.

      Note: Choosing Unhide Rows when a column is highlighted will unhide every row in the spreadsheet.
  • Columns: Adjusts properties of the spreadsheet columns.
  • Column Width: Increases or decreases the width of the selected spreadsheet columns.
  • Auto Fit: Resizes selected column(s) to accommodate the widest content contained within the selected cells.
  • Hide Columns: Makes any selected column(s) invisible on the spreadsheet.
  • Unhide Columns: Reveals any hidden columns between the selected columns. At least two columns must be selected in order to unhide columns, except when one or more columns at the left or right of the spreadsheet have been hidden. To unhide columns at the left or right of the spreadsheet, select the first or last non-hidden column.

    Note: Choosing Unhide Columns when a row is highlighted will unhide every column in the spreadsheet.
