Configure Host PC Network Settings Dialog

The Configure Host PC Network Settings dialog is used to configure the network settings of the PC running the software. With this dialog, you can configure multiple network locations instead of using the Windows network management tool (the Network and Sharing Center).

For example, if you have multiple In-Sight devices on different networks, and one PC is being used to program the vision systems, you can create and store the network settings, then select the desired network settings from this dialog. This functionality allows you to create and store IP addresses for the different network configurations as a profile, with a unique name, and select the needed Profile from the drop-down menu.

The dialog displays the network connections currently defined on the PC running the software.

Note: When changing between the different options (DHCP or a Saved Profile), you must press the Apply changes button to finalize the change. This launches a User Account Control dialog, which requires administrative privileges to implement.
