DataMan 3.5 CR8 Release Notes
The DataMan 3.5.0 CR8 release supports only the DataMan 200 fixed-mount reader.
New Features in this Release
You should be aware of features that are new or changed in DataMan since the previous release:
- PROFINET I/O industrial protocol certified by Profibus & Profinet International (Certificate No. Z10248).
Functional Changes in this Release
- You should be aware of the changes to existing functionality described in this section.
- The range of values used for TriggerID has been changed.
- The range of values to which TriggerID may be set by the DataMan 200 has changed in this release. In releases up to and including DataMan 3.5.0, TriggerID could have values in the range 0 through 65535. This caused PLCs that treated this value as a signed integer to display negative values when TriggerID exceeded 32767.
- Starting with DataMan 3.5.0 CR1, the TriggerID can have values in the range 0 through 32767; when the value exceeds 32767, it wraps to 0.

- Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system, SP3, 32-bit edition
- Microsoft Windows Vista® 32-bit edition
Note that beginning with DataMan 3.5, installation on Microsoft Windows 2000 is specifically prevented due to a driver incompatibility.
