The VisionView Firmware Upgrade Key (FUP) is a program that enables the firmware upgrade of VisionView 900 and VisionView VGA panels to firmware 1.6.3. This release provides changes and fixes to various known issues and does not include any new functionality.
Changes
- Added support for the In-Sight OCRMaxAutoTune interactive control. When pressed, the display switches to Auto-Tune Mode, allowing the operator to automatically segment and train characters, acquire/load images, manually adjust character regions and delete Auto-Tune results using the Auto-Tune, Result, and Manual Tune screens. Auto-Tune Mode can also be accessed by pressing the Auto-Tune button in the OCRMax Font Training screen.
- The OCRMax Font Training and Enter Segment String screens have been modified to display the OCRMax Region image with segmented characters. On the OCRMax Region image, if the character has been previously trained, the character region will be in green; if the character has not been trained, the character region will be in red.
- The Force Connection button is now displayed when VisionView's connection to the sensor is converted to a view only connection, because the other application has already established the standard view connection. The view only connection allows the operator to view the operation of the sensor, and the standard view connection allows the operator to perform various Run Mode actions. Pressing the Force Connection button allows VisionView to reestablish the standard view connection to the sensor(s). Previously, the Force Connection button was displayed only when VisionView failed to connect In-Sight sensor(s) because connection to the sensor was already established.
Note: Up to five connections can be established to an In-Sight sensor running firmware version 4.9.0 or later. Only one connection can establish a standard view connection at a time, and any other connections are view only.
- The TestRun feature is now installed on the VisionView 900 Operator Interface Panel, VisionView PC software and VisionView CE-based HMI panels during the standard installation. Previously, a separate TestRun feature installation was needed using Cognex Explorer.
Note: A separate TestRun feature installation is still needed if using the VisionView VGA.
- This release removes support for the VisionView 700 Operator Interface Panel.
