Question
Why do images get discarded in In-Sight when writing Images with a high cycle rate to an FTP Server?
Answer
In-Sight Systems are not setup for sending images to an external server with a high cycle rate. The sense behind smart systems is to do image acquisition and processing at once, without sending images to an external computing architecture. There is also no hard time limit at when images get lost, this depends on the network speed, network load and on the file size. It might happen that images get discarded when the cycle time is 1 sec.
It should be considered to save images only when it is necessary, for example when the job result is "Fail". The Images can be saved conditionally, see: How to Conditionally Save Images Via FTP in Spreadsheet | Cognex Support Community
