General Notes for DataMan 25.3.2
- Fixed a bug where the Setup Tool image overlay graphics did not scale correctly.
- Install the latest GSD files to meet PROFINET conformance.
This release of the DataMan Setup Tool includes an updated set of GSD files. If you have DataMan Setup Tool 25.3.2 installed and update the firmware on your readers, you need to install the updated GSD files. Otherwise, you cannot establish a PROFINET connection. Previously installed GSD files are incompatible with this release because the firmware is not an exact match and Codesys PROFINET PLCs do not allow the reader to connect. The GSD files are updated to reflect the unique ID and latest firmware version of the following readers:
DM80 PoE, DM280, DM180, DM380, DM580, DM290, DM390, DM8700, DM370, DM470.

Firmware Version 7.0.1 (DataMan 290 Platform) and 7.1.1 (DataMan 390 Platform)
- New features for the Fixed-Mount WebUI:
- Device Log: displays errors, warning, and other messages helpful for troubleshooting.
- Synchronization across multiple connected clients.
- Added Code pages and Extended Channel Interpretation (ECI), which means that the code being read defines the code page.
- Configuration options for High-Frequency Lights.
- Support for CC-Link.
- New features for the DM290 and DM390 platforms:
- Added support for ISO/IEC 15415:2024, ISO/IEC 15416:2025, and ISO/IEC 29158:2025.
Firmware Version 6.4.2 SR3 (DataMan 580 Platform) and 6.5.2 SR3 (DataMan 380 Platform)
- Images can be transferred immediately from the reader. Enable it in Setup Tool with the Image FTP Transfer > Transfer Mode > Bypass option.
- Added support for Aztec Code symbology.
- The "Don't Reread Same Code Based On Symbology" now respects GS1 differences.
Firmware Version 6.3.8 (DataMan 80 and 280 Platforms)
- DM280 EtherCAT readers now offer user-configurable, larger array sizes for UserData and DecodeResults, and a new ResultsCode to indicate if the returned value is a DMCC response. Note that the new version of the EtherCat Slave Information (ESI) file is not backwards compatible with the previous version.

- The WebUI now shows the Device Log: displays errors, warning, and other messages helpful for troubleshooting.
- Fixed a bug where firmware update of a USB-connected reader from the WebUI timed out with an error.
- Fixed a bug where the Base Station sometimes failed to reconnect to the reader after firmware update.
- Fixed a bug where a reader went into a bootloop when using a Dell power share port.
- Fixed a bug where Bluetooth Direct Connect pairing occasionally failed.

- Verifiers added support for ISO/IEC 15415:2024, ISO/IEC 15416:2025, and ISO/IEC 29158:2025.
- Updated GS1 data validation, including new Application Identifiers such as AI8014.
- Fixed a bug where the WebHMI screen did not refresh to display the latest trigger result under certain conditions.
