The In-Sight 6900 Vision Controller has higher power requirements than other In-Sight devices. The voltage requirement is 24V DC +/- 10% and the amperage requirement is 5A (rated to 12 A maximum). This means that more amperage is required than other In-Sight devices and a power supply with at least 5A current should be used. 6A is required in a maximum-load situation in which the device powers a camera and a high-powered light with 20m cables.
Unexpected behavior, including the Vision Controller not displaying in In-Sight Vision Suite and the Vision Controller failing to detect attached cameras, may occur if the device is underpowered. The first troubleshooting step with any In-Sight 6900 problem should be to confirm that the device is receiving adequate power- a power supply providing at least 5A is recommended.
