Details

In the Advanced Settings section of the Trigger page on the In-Sight L38 acquisition panel, there are two parameters for debouncing trigger and encoder signals: Trigger Debounce and Encoder Debounce.

Debounce Function in Advanced Settings of In-Sight L38_Image-1

Their primary functions are as follows:

  1. Trigger Debounce: The minimum trigger pulse duration (in μs) to be considered valid. Any pulse shorter than the specified duration is considered noise and will be ignored. This setting is only available if you have set Trigger Source for Input line.
  2. Encoder Debounce: The minimum encoder pulse duration (in μs) to be considered valid. Any pulse shorter than the specified duration is considered noise and will be ignored. This setting is only available if you have set Motion Input for Encoder. We could use GetEncoderStats(A0) to return a chart of the time intervals between consecutive profiles in the point cloud. The time intervals are measured in milliseconds. Use this function when the vision system is in encoder mode to detect encoder signal issues. If motion speed is constant but the graph shows anomalies, the encoder signal might be noisy or unstable.
