3D Vision Tools

The In-Sight 3D Vision Tools consist of functions used to process 3D shapes, configure fixturing and locate preconfigured 3D patterns. These functions allow you to:

  • Extract and process various 3D structures (such as blobs, circles, edges, histograms, planes, etc.) from the acquired point cloud.
  • Perform feature-based fixturing, that is create 3D fixtures from shapes to be used in detection inspections.
  • Train and find 3D fixtures using 3D patterns.

You can insert 3D vision tools into the spreadsheet either by using functions from the Insert Function Dialog or by dragging and dropping them from the Toolbox.
