Getting Started with In-Sight 3D

The In-Sight® 3D Integrated Development Environment (or IDE) is used to develop 3D machine vision applications. The software allows machine vision developers to create flexible solutions to complex machine vision challenges by offering the following functionalities:

  • Vision application development with the In-Sight spreadsheet interface.
  • Support for 3D-L4000 Series Vision Systems.
  • 2D greyscale image acquisition, allowing you to perform 2D image inspection tasks with the available In-Sight 2D spreadsheet tools.
  • 3D point cloud acquisition, allowing you to develop 3D vision applications with the available 3D spreadsheet tools, such as:
    • 3D shape extraction, construction and measurement solutions,
    • 3D pattern matching applications, or
    • 3D graphics plotting.
  • 3D fixturing options for conveyor, tray or tote applications.
  • Drag-and-drop HMI builder environment to create HTML5-based operator HMI.
  • Scripting environment for HMI development with text and visual logging features (Javascript for HMI development).
  • High-speed discrete input/output and extensive Industrial Ethernet protocol support (including TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).

See the In-Sight 3D User Interface topic for more information on getting started with the IDE interface.
