Configuring the Settings Tab (SLMP Scanner)
The SLMP Scanner Settings tab is used to define the connection information required to establish a connection with the Mitsubishi PLC/MC.
Depending on the Selected Device in the Device Setup group box, the available Controller Types in the Settings tab vary. For more information, refer to Communicating with Mitsubishi Devices.
Selected Device (Device Setup Group Box) | Available Controller Types (Settings Tab) |
---|---|
PLC/Motion Controller |
|
Robot Controller |
|
Defines the type of Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller to communicate with
-
PLC/MC: iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame), iQ-F Series (3E Frame) or FX Series (1E Frame). Default = iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame).
Note: The iQ-F Series (3E Frame) option is not available on the In-Sight vision systems running In-Sight 4.x.x firmware. - Robot Controller: CR800-D Series (3E Frame)
Defines the IP address of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller. Enter the IP address of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller that will be connected to the In-Sight vision system.
Defines the TCP port number, in decimal (Dec) or in hexadecimal (Hex) format, of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller (1 - 65535 in Dec, 1 – 0xFFFF in Hex; default = 12288 in Dec).
- This value should match the Host Port setting established on the SLMP Port of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller.
- The format of the Host Port number will be reset to decimal (Dec) when you close In-Sight Explorer.
Defines the timeout (5 milliseconds to 30,000; default is 1,000 ms) for both read and write operations.
Defines the time (5 milliseconds to 30,000; default is 1,000 ms) between successive polls of the Vision Control block on the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller.
- When this checkbox is checked and iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame), iQ-F Series (3E Frame) or CR800-D Series (3E Frame) is the selected Controller Type, the Network Number, PC Number and Destination Module controls are enabled.
- When this checkbox is checked and FX Series (1E Frame) is the selected Controller Type, the PC Number control is enabled.
By default, the checkbox is unchecked and the In-Sight vision system is directly connected to the PLC/MC or Robot Controller with an Ethernet Module specified by the entered IP Address.
Defines the SLMP network number (0 to 239; default is 0 = local network) to communicate with. This control is enabled when the Connect to Remote Station checkbox is checked.
Defines the station identifier on the specified network of the Destination Module, in hexadecimal. This control is enabled when the Connect to Remote Station checkbox is checked.
Hex | Description |
---|---|
0xFF (default) | Direct connect to local station. |
0x7E | Master station on CC-Link IE field. |
0x1 - 0x78 | Station on CC-Link IE field network adapter. |
Defines the module identifier of the device to connect to. This control is enabled when the Connect to Remote Station checkbox is checked.
