Counting Tools - PatMax RedLine Patterns and PatMax Patterns

Note:
  • From In-Sight firmware 5.5.0 and later, the tool's algorithm has been changed to return more accurate results and decrease the execution time in some circumstances.
  • Due to this change, when attempting to load a job containing this tool configured on the In-Sight firmware 5.5.0 or later to an In-Sight vision system running firmware version 5.4.x or earlier, an error message is displayed.
  • The PatMax RedLine Patterns Counting Tool is only available on In-Sight vision systems running In-Sight firmware 5.2.0 and later. For a complete list of models and supported firmware versions, see Firmware Versions.

The PatMax RedLine Patterns Tool and PatMax Patterns Counting Tool are used to count the instances of a pattern feature, using the PatMax RedLine or PatMax algorithm, based upon a trained representation of that pattern (called a Model).

These tools are useful, for example, in applications like counting the number of bolts on a mechanical assembly, or counting the number of vials in a tray.
