Edge Pair Defect Detection Tool - Defects Tab
When the Defects tab is selected, the tool will display the best-fit circle or line result, and any detected defects or gaps. "Defects" are specified as edge deviations from the best-fit line or circle.
The region may also be selected and adjusted when in this tab.
Min Distance
Specifies that any distance (0.001 - 1920; default = 4), in pixels, from the edge and the best-fit line or circle less than this value is not a defect.
Max Distance
Specifies that any distance (0.001 - 1920; default = 1000), in pixels, from the edge and the best-fit line or circle greater than this value is not a defect.
Size Enabled
Defines whether or not the tool will account for size defects (which account for the length along the edge); by default, this parameter is enabled.
Min Size
Defines the minimum defect size (0.001 - 1920; default = 10), in pixels; continuous deviations from the best-fit line or circle which are less than this value are not considered defects.
Max Size
Defines the maximum defect size (0.001 - 1920; default = 1000), in pixels; continuous deviations from the best-fit line or circle which are greater than this value are not considered defects.
Area Enabled
Defines whether or not the tool will account for area defects; by default, this parameter is disabled. Area defects account for the length along the best-fit line or circle and how far the defective edge is from the best-fit line or circle.
Min Area
Defines the minimum area defect (0.001 - 1000000; default = 10), in pixels; an area less than this value is not considered a defect.
Max Area
Defines the maximum area defect (0.001 - 1000000; default = 1000000), in pixels; an area greater than this value is not considered a defect.
Defect Filter
Defines whether or not to filter defects based on their position, related to the line fit (No Filter, Ignore Left of Line Fit, Ignore Right of Line Fit; default = No Filter).
