Compare Image Filter Tool - Settings Tab
![Closed](../../Skins/Default/Stylesheets/Images/transparent.gif)
Defines the type of pixel comparison that will be performed when mapping the template to the input image: Nearest Neighbor or Bilinear.
Nearest Neighbor (the default setting) performs an image mapping operation where each pixel in the template is compared with its nearest pixel in the input image to calculate the normalized greyscale difference for each pixel. This a faster, but less accurate, image mapping method.
Bilinear performs an image mapping operation where each pixel in the template is compared with a weighted average (which represents the greyscale value of the four nearest pixels in the input image) to calculate the normalized greyscale difference for each pixel. This is a more accurate, but slower, image mapping method.

Defines the number of pixels around an edge that will be tolerated during the image comparison (0-24; default = 3). The higher the number, the less likely imperfectly matched edges will be depicted as differences in the output image.
