Setting Up the Math Math & Logic Tool

Note: This tool requires other Location and/or Inspection Tools to be used as inputs. Assemble the other Location and/or Inspection Tools that will be used as inputs to this tool prior to adding this tool; otherwise you will be unable to construct the Expressions and will have to add the necessary Location and/or Inspection Tools and then return to this tool after having configured the other tools.

Once the tool has been added, you will need to construct your Expression.

Construct your Expression by choosing and then entering the mathematical functions from the left-side of the settings pane, and values (tool and job data) from the right-side. To enter a function or value in the Expression formula editor, select the function or value and press the Enter key, double-click the function or value or press the Insert button.

Once you have built your Expression, define the range limits of the tool by clicking on the Range Limits tab. By default, the Maximum is set to 9,999,999 and the Minimum is set to -9,999,999, allowing you to customize the limits based on the needs of your application.

Note: If the result of the Expression returns a text string, the Maximum and Minimum limits will be disabled.
With the tool initially configured, load several images and adjusting the tool's parameters, as needed, to compensate for your expected ranges of variations.
Finally, if desired, use the tool's Input/Output properties to share tool data between other tools and/or other external devices.
