Configuring the SLMP Settings Tab
The SLMP Settings tab is used to configure the controller type and the IP address of the PLC/MC or Robot Controller, the TCP port number, timeouts and source and destination register locations of the PLC/MC or Robot Controller.
Depending on the Selected Device in the Device Setup group box, the available Controller Types in the Settings tab vary. For more information, refer to Communicating with Mitsubishi Devices.

Defines the type of Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller to communicate with
-
PLC/MC: iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame), iQ-F Series (3E Frame) or FX Series (1E Frame). Default = iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame).
Note: The iQ-F Series (3E Frame) option is not available on the In-Sight vision systems running In-Sight 4.x.x firmware. - Robot Controller: CR800-D Series (3E Frame)
Defines the IP address of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller. Enter the IP address of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller that will be connected to the In-Sight vision system.
Defines the TCP port number, in decimal (Dec) or in hexadecimal (Hex) format, of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller (1 - 65535 in Dec, 1 – 0xFFFF in Hex; default = 12288 in Dec).
Defines the timeout (5 milliseconds to 30,000; default is 1,000 ms) for both read and write operations.
Note: Before changing the Source Device parameter, remove all tool properties from the Format Input Data tab. If the Source Device parameter is set to <None> while there are still tool properties in the Format Input Data tab, the tools will be in an error state. In addition, the Remove button will be disabled, and the tools left in the Format Input Data tab will fail or not execute until they are removed.Input Data Device AddressDefines which device register of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller to read from:
Device Type Format PLC/MC Robot iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame) iQ-F Series (3E Frame) FX Series (1E Frame) CR800-D Series (3E Frame) X - Input Relay Bit X X X (Oct) Y - Output Relay Bit X X X (Oct) M - Internal Relay Bit X X X L - Latch Relay Bit X F - Annunciator Bit X X B - Link Relay Bit X D - Data Register Word X X X X W - Link Register Word X R - File Block Register Word X ZR - File Register Word X TN - Timer Value Word X X CN - Counter Value Word X X R - Extension Register Word X S - State Relay Bit X Note: The Format of the Device Type determines which type of Data Type selection will be available in the Format Input Buffer tab. If the Format of the Device Type is Bit, then the Format Input Buffer tab will only permit bit data types to be entered.OffsetThe numeric portion of the PLC/MC or Robot Controller data table that defines where the read will begin.
Output Data Device AddressDefines which device register of the Mitsubishi PLC/MC or Robot Controller to read to:
Device Type Format PLC/MC Robot iQ-R/Q/L Series (3E Frame) iQ-F Series (3E Frame) FX Series (1E Frame) CR800-D Series (3E Frame) X - Input Relay Bit X X X (Oct) Y - Output Relay Bit X X X (Oct) M - Internal Relay Bit X X X L - Latch Relay Bit X F - Annunciator Bit X X B - Link Relay Bit X D - Data Register Word X X X X W - Link Register Word X R - File Block Register Word X ZR - File Register Word X TN - Timer Value Word X X CN - Counter Value Word X X R - Extension Register Word X S - State Relay Bit X Note: The Format of the Device Type determines which type of Data Type selection will be available in the Format Output Buffer tab. If the Format of the Device Type is Bit, then the Format Output Buffer tab will only permit bit data types to be entered.OffsetThe numeric portion of the PLC/MC or Robot Controller data table that defines where the write will begin.
