Location Tools - Pattern and Patterns (1-10)

The Pattern Location Tool and the Patterns (1-10) Location Tool are used to locate the position of pattern features, based upon a trained representation of that pattern (called a Model). The Pattern tool is used to locate a single pattern, while the Patterns (1-10) tool is used to locate up to 10 patterns.

The Pattern Location Tool and the Patterns (1-10) Location Tool are useful in applications that require accurate positioning, such as vision guided robotic applications. This tool is also very useful as fixtures for other vision tools, orienting their search within the image.

In-Sight Models	Results
In-Sight 2000-110 and 2000-120/120C Vision Sensors	Pass/Fail status only
In-Sight 2000-130/130C Vision Sensor	Pass/Fail status and Pattern Score
In-Sight Vision Systems (All Models) and In-Sight 2000 Series 23X Vision Sensors (23M, 230)	X/Y coordinates*, angular orientation, score and pass/fail status
* The tool returns the results in pixels, unless the image was calibrated to real-world units (In-Sight vision systems) or Field of View (Width) was set to real-world units (In-Sight 2000 series vision sensors) in the Set Up Image application step.
