Open Web Browser View

The Open Web Browser View opens the default browser to the web-based human-machine interface (HMI) of the selected In-Sight vision system or sensor.

Note:
  • The Web HMI application is only available on vision systems or sensors running In-Sight firmware 5.6.0 and later.
  • The HTTPS HMI Mode is only available on vision systems or sensors running In-Sight firmware 5.7.3 and later.
  • The Web HMI Filmstrip is only available on vision systems or sensors running In-Sight firmware 5.8.1 and later.
  • The Web HMI Custom View is only available on vision systems or sensors running In-Sight firmware 5.9.0 and later.

Browser Requirements

The Web HMI application supports the following web browsers.

  • Google Chrome™ browser, version 64 or greater
  • Microsoft Edge, version 42.x or greater

Login Dialog

If you use the default credential (i.e., an admin user without password), the Web HMI application will automatically display. Otherwise, you will be prompted to enter the user name and password to log on to the vision system or sensor.

The Web HMI application is displayed based on the connection mode, which is defined in the HMI Settings dialog and the user access level, which is defined in the User Access Settings dialog on the Sensor menu.

  • Full: Offers complete, unrestricted access to the Web HMI application.
  • Note:
    • To display the Online/Offline, Trigger, Live Mode and Switch View control buttons in the Web HMI application, you need to check the corresponding checkboxes in the HMI Settings dialog first. For more information, see Open Web Browser View.
    • If your Web HMI application's connection mode is View Only Connection, you can only access the Web HMI application with a Locked access.
  • Protected: Offers access to the Online/Offline, Trigger, Live Mode and Switch View control buttons, Image Toolbar, and the editable EasyView pane. For more information, see Run Mode Controls Pane, Image Toolbar and EasyView Pane

    Note:
    • To display the Online/Offline, Trigger, Live Mode and Switch View control buttons in the Web HMI application, you need to check the corresponding checkboxes in the HMI Settings dialog first.
    • If your Web HMI application's connection mode is View Only Connection, you can only access the Web HMI application with the Locked access.
  • Locked: Offers access to the Switch View button, Image Toolbar, and the read-only EasyView pane.
