Patterns Counting Tool - Settings Tab
Defines whether or not to train a Model pattern over an input line (default setting is "Off", disabled).
-
Input: Trains a Model pattern over an input line. The selected input line will be used as a train signal.
Note:- This option will not be displayed when the In-Sight vision system does not have discrete inputs (e.g. In-Sight 8000 series vision system using Direct I/O).
- The selected Input line's Signal Type must be set to Event Trigger in the Inputs/Outputs application step.
- Training of a Model pattern will use the most recent image acquired by the vision system/sensor. It is not necessary to re-trigger the vision system/sensor in order to train.
- For more information, refer to Inputs: Training a Model Pattern over an Input Line
Defines the degree of similarity that must exist between the Model pattern and the found pattern (0-100; default = 50). Found patterns above, or the equivalent of, the setting are considered a match. This tool executes faster with a higher setting, which also requires a greater degree of similarity between the Model and the found pattern. Lower settings allow for a higher likelihood of less accurate results, such as detection of patterns that are similar to, but not, the Model pattern.
Defines how far the found pattern can be rotated from the position of the Model pattern and still be recognized as a valid pattern (± 0-180°; default =15°).Allowing for a greater range of rotational variance of the pattern will increase the tool's execution time.
Defines the tool's tolerance to changes in the pattern's scale, within ±10% of the trained pattern's size. By default, this setting is off (unchecked), which disables scale adjustments. In this mode of operation, the tool will still find patterns that are within ±10% range, but the score of the feature will decrease as the scale percentage increases.
Defines how the tool constructs the Model pattern; Area Model or Edge Model (the default). Area Model creates the Model pattern based on a uniform sampling of the grayscale values in the Model region. Edge Model creates the Model pattern based on the detected edges (light/dark transitions) of the pattern feature within the Model region.
Defines how the tool will qualify the tradeoff between accuracy/reliability versus execution speed; Accurate, Medium (the default) and Fast. Accurate specifies a focus on higher accuracy/reliability, and slower execution speed, Fast specifies a lower focus on accuracy/reliability, and faster execution speed, while Medium specifies a middle stance between the two.
Defines the amount of time, in milliseconds (0 to 30,000), that the tool will search for pattern(s) before execution is stopped and the tool returns a Fail.
