Adding, Deleting and Editing Location Tools
Adding a Tool
To add a tool to your job, select an appropriate tool from the Add Tool group and press the Add button, or double-click on the tool. You will then be prompted to define the feature in the image, either through EasyBuilder Smart Feature selections, adjusting region graphics in the image or positioning geometric reference graphics.
After you have initially defined your feature, you can fine-tune the tool’s controls by adjusting the various parameters.
Note: You can search tools dynamically by using the Tool search box.
Deleting a Tool
To delete a tool from your job, simply do one of the following:
- Select the tool in the Results table (located in the Results tab of the Palette) and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
- Select the tool in the Results table (located in the Results tab of the Palette) and press the Delete icon in the Standard toolbar.
- Right-click on the tool in the Results table (located in the Results tab of the Palette) and select the Delete option from the menu.
Editing a Tool
To edit a tool from any step in EasyBuilder, simply do one of the following:
- Double-click on the tool in the Results table (located in the Results tab of the Palette).
- Right-click on the tool in the Results table and select the Go to this tool and edit option from the menu.
To edit a tool from the Locate Part or Inspect Part steps, simply do one of the following:
- Select the tool's region graphic in the image.
- Double-click on the tool in the Results table (located in the Results tab of the Palette).
- Right-click on the tool in the Results table and select the Go to this tool and edit option from the menu.
- Double-click on the tool in the Results Table in the Run Job application step.
Note: If there is not enough space in the job to add more tools, leave the Locate or Inspect Part Application Steps, and from the Sensor menu, select Job Size Limit. Using the dialog, adjust the size of the job to allow more tools to be added. Adjusting the job size limit of an In-Sight vision system requires that the vision system be power cycled, and will erase all job and setting files from non-volatile flash memory.
