Palette: Spreadsheet View
The Palette is a reference pane that provides user guidance through its tabs. To display the Palette, select Palette from the View menu.
Tab | Description |
---|---|
Functions Tab |
The Functions tab populates its tree with all functions available on the active In-Sight vision system, allowing drag-and-drop access to In-Sight functions. For more information, see Function Reference. |
Snippets Tab |
The Snippets tab populates its tree with all of the snippets available in the Snippets folder on the PC. Use the Snippet dialog to export snippets to the PC. The snippets automatically populate in the Snippets tab. For more information, see Snippet Dialog. Note: Snippets cannot be
exported to the PC using the ExportData
function.
|
TestRun Tab | The TestRun tab is used to construct machine vision validation tests. Vision validation is the process of confirming that a machine vision application is operating within expected parameters. TestRun works by performing tests on the vision system and comparing the results of those tests against expected values. |
Use the Palette
Drag-and-drop functions or snippets from the Palette directly into spreadsheet cells. Alternately, double-click a function or snippet to insert it into the active cell. If the selected function has a property sheet, the sheet automatically opens when the function is placed into a cell.
- The Palette
may be disabled, depending on what action is being performed or what particular
dialog is open. The most common conditions that cause the Palette
to be disabled are:
- The active vision system is Online.
- The vision system is in Live video mode.
- A property sheet is open.
- An interactive graphic is being modified.
- Cell Selection Mode is invoked.
- Functions and snippets cannot be inserted into cell A0.
- Cell A0 cannot be exported as a snippet.
- If you attempt to drag-and-drop a function into a cell that already contains data, you are prompted before the cell is overwritten.
- Snippets insert a range of cells into the spreadsheet. If you attempt to drag-and-drop a snippet into cells that already contain data, the cells are highlighted and you are prompted before the cells are overwritten.
