Database Editor

The Database Editor is used to add, remove and rename images for the tools within a ViDi Sub Task Block. The Database Editor can be accessed from the ViDi Sub Task Block Properties, by the ViDi Sub Task Block – Right-Click Menu, or by clicking the ViDi Sub Task Database icon.

While in Program Mode and during training, before using a ViDi tool you must first press the Scissors icon to process the images. Clicking the Scissors icon creates the Views that each ViDi tool will use.

In scenarios where you have more than one tool, if the first tool in the chain (either a ViDi tool or a VisionPro® Tool Block) is modified, you will need to click the Scissors icon again to update the Views for the downstream tools. For example, if you are using a VisionPro® Tool Block within a ViDi Sub Task block, and feeding the results to a subsequent ViDi tool block, you must also first press the Scissors icon to process the images for the linked ViDi tool.

Within a Task, you can pass images into the Database Editor from a Camera block, which will be run through the Database Editor, or you can also load images directly into the Database Editor by using the Add Images button.
