ViDi Sub Task Block

The ViDi Sub Task block is used to add and configure Cognex ViDi Tools for your machine vision application. The ViDi Sub Task block is the container for the ViDi Suite tools, and VisionPro tools and Designer Task Blocks can also be added to solve an application.

Each individual ViDi Suite tool block can be imported or exported as a Workspace. In addition, the ViDi Suite Sub Task can be divided into a collection of Streams.

There are three options to control how the ViDi Sub Task block will process images:

• Run (default setting): Directly process the image (a straight arrow above the Database Editor icon).
• Record: Add the image to the associated Database and process the image (a forked arrow above the Database Editor icon).
• Acquire: Add the image to the associated Database, but do not process the image (an arrow pointing down to the Database Editor icon).
