Sharing Data via OPC Server
If your application involves other devices that use an OPC server to communicate, you can enable inspection results (or input data) to be posted to an OPC server.
Note:
- The In-Sight 2000 series vision sensor does not support OPC Server.
- For this functionality to be enabled, the In-Sight OPC Server software must be installed. See the In-Sight OPC Server help file for more information.
To enable data for exchange on an OPC server:
- From the Communications group box, select OPC.
- From the Selected OPC Tags section, press the Add button to launch the Select OPC Tags dialog.
- The Select OPC Tags dialog contains the data from any Location or Inspection Tools that were added to your job, and the overall job results. From the dialog, select the appropriate data that you want to enable.
- Once you have selected your desired data, click the OK button to accept your changes. The OPC Tags are now displayed in the Selected OPC Tags section.
