Inputs: Turning Location and Inspection Tools On and Off

Location and Inspection tools may have their tool execution tied to an input line. Tying the tool to an input allows a control system, such as a PLC, to determine which tools should run.

Select an input line, and set the Signal Type to User Data.
Go to the Location or Inspection Tool that you would like to control, and go to the tool's Tool Enable control. From the drop-down list, select the Input number that you defined in the step above.
The tool can now be turned On or Off (a HIGH signal (1) is On; a LOW signal (0) is Off) by the control system.
