About In-Sight Explorer Dialog

The About dialog displays two primary groups of information:

  • Code compilation (build) details for the In-Sight Explorer application.
  • Hardware, firmware, and configuration details for In-Sight vision systems and emulators detected on your subnet, as well as devices that are defined in the Explorer Host Table Setup Dialog.

About In-Sight Explorer Dialog Controls

To display the About In-Sight Explorer dialog, click About In-Sight Explorer from the Help menu.

  • Information specific to In-Sight Explorer:
    • The major, minor, and revision version numbers of the In-Sight Explorer application. [5.5.0]
    • The incremental build number of the In-Sight Explorer application. [798]
  • Information specific to In-Sight vision systems on your network:
    • Host name of the vision system. [is7802_070809]
    • Type of vision system, which indicates a specific model of In-Sight vision system, a PC running the emulator or an Explorer Host Table entry. [7802]
    • Major, minor, revision, and build numbers for the particular Firmware Version running on the vision system. [5.5.0 (358)]
    • MAC Address of the vision system. [00-d0-24-3c-ef-28]
    • IP Address of the vision system. [192.168.0.1]
    • Serial Number of the vision system. [1A1538XA014394]

Copy the Information Vision System Information

The information on In-Sight vision systems can be copied to the Windows clipboard. This feature is useful when contacting Cognex Technical Support. To copy the information on the desired vision system(s), do one of the following.

  • Select the desired vision system(s) and press CTRL+C.
  • Right-click the desired vision system(s) and select Copy.
Note:
  • To select the information on all vision systems in the table, press CTRL+A, or right-click and select Select All.
  • To select the information on multiple, non-consecutive vision systems, hold down the CTRL key and highlight the desired vision systems.
  • To select multiple, consecutive items, highlight the first vision system and hold down the SHIFT key, and then the last vision system, in the list.
